Lilit (Lilo) Danielyan is a photographer, filmmaker, and teaching artist who divides her time between Portugal, Armenia, and the United States. Her work has been featured in PhotoVogue and exhibited internationally, including in Portugal, the United States, Bosnia, Mexico, and Geneva. Lilo was the principal photographer for Dear Maine: The Trials and Triumphs of Maine’s 21st Century Immigrants (IslandPort Press), a book featuring portraits of over 20 immigrants who have made Maine their home.

Lilo studied documentary photography at Docdocdoc and 16mm narrative cinema at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. She holds a BA in Psychology from Smith College and is a member of Women Photograph and VII Photo Academy.

She excels in both commercial and documentary photography, with her practice focusing on themes of migration, belonging, and nostalgia.

In addition to her artistic work, Lilo is a dedicated teaching artist, leading workshops and courses such as Therapeutic Photography, where she explores the intersection of creativity and emotional well-being.
